A house divided

Air temperature 52 F, wind near calm, partly cloudy. Political signs defacing the neighborhood and exposing conflict between neighbors. Foraging planned.

Migration is on

Miscellaneous transients passing through the neighborhood, probably without papers. Had a flycatcher perched in our oak for a while yesterday, swooping down for a snack every now and then. White-throat sparrows working the leaves and weeds, and a horde of robins the other day.
