Wednesday foliage report
Sep. 21st, 2022 03:33 pmLots of red, orange, and a little yellow out in the bog. Some of the upland trees starting to turn, including the white ash that turns one day and starts dumping leaves the next. Flowers pretty much limited to asters and a couple of varieties of goldenrod, with a smattering of chicory and mullein.
Roadkill limited to one porcupine out in the bog and the usual surplus gray squirrels. Not-roadkill, 15 or 20 geese out at the cemetery pond, one chipmunk that decided crossing in front of me was a bad idea, and a porcupine ambling across a mowed field in broad daylight.
Got out on the bike, temperature about 60 F, breezy, did not die.
