Thick o' fog early

Air temperature 51 F, wind near calm, visibility 1/4 mile at the airport. Could just about see the park across the street when I got up this morning. Rising and thinning now. Bike ride planned, with another construction zone on the route.

Wednesday road report

Only minor wait for the flagger at the construction zone. I assume that the fire truck that went through in the same direction a few minutes earlier got the right of way.

C-5 out at the visitors' lot, and another of the enigmatic white commercial aircraft with no logo on side or tail. This one at least had registration numbers on the fuselage. For all I know, that was a picked body of death-or-glory toads headed for battle.

More of the large, brilliant purple asters blooming in addition to the usual flora. Some of the milkweed pods starting to show fluff, but not full explosion yet.

Got out on the bike, across town and back, avoiding the rush of students escaping from the high school. Did not die.
