Air temperature 58 F, wind west about 8 mph, blue sky. Foraging this morning, bike ride this afternoon?

The human mind embraces stereotypes, even in those who claim to be free of such sins.

Bedstraw blooming, what I think are the first wild roses, cinquefoil and wood sorrel small yellow blooms. Blue flag iris still doing well. The roses aren't the ones in the bog -- those got mowed down to the ground last fall, but are coming back and should bloom in a couple of weeks.
Fresh roadkill limited to a painted turtle out near the bog. Old corpses of porcupine and raccoon still there, if rather decayed. Scavengers slacking off, or sated?
Windy, gusting over 25 mph, but I got out on the bike anyway. Did not die.
