Sunday floral and wildlife report
May. 15th, 2022 12:50 pmBald eagle overhead as I rode past the bakery. No sign of the airport falcon except . . . several of the light pylons have sticks on top. I'd associate that nesting pattern with an osprey, but the bird I saw up there last time was either a peregrine or a merlin. Also, wild turkey in a section of lawn by the rear entry road of a local college.
Bush honeysuckle starting to bloom, earliest lily-of-the-valley, late coltsfoot. More and yet more of the flowering crabapples and cherries.
No roadkill.
Got out on the bike, across town and by the airport, did not die. Did not get rained on.
