Air temperature 37 F, wind near calm, clear sky. Trash out. Coffee in. Revulsion continues.

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold;
The Northern Lights have seen queer sights,
But the queerest they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
I cremated Sam McGee.

Yes! Roadkill marten out in the bog, area I've seen them before. Brown fur too light to be a fisher, and also a bit smaller. That's what you get by not being afraid of anything . . .

Trout lily blooming, saw a clump of red trillium, lawn violets and bluets in yards I passed. Eight not-roadkill geese in the cemetery pond.

Air temperature reached 60 F, windier than I felt was necessary, got out on the bike. Did not die.
