Air temperature 42 F, wind northwest about 3 mph, cloudy. May dry off and warm up later. Mud season, moving into brushfire season as the world dries out before the plants leaf out.

Friday springlike report

Skunk cabbage and cattail blades showing in wet areas, first coltsfoot blooms in the usual forest glade, no geese at the cemetery. Water up to the edge of the bog road but not on it.

Warmed up enough that I got out on the bike, full local loop for the first time this year. Did not die.

About 15 miles, about an hour and a half. Will be switching over to the road bike soon, so reports will gain precision.
