Weather games again

Air temperature 8 F, wind northeast gusting to 15 mph, windchill -1 F. Light dusting of snow overnight, clear sky and waning moon at dawn.

As we come to the end of the latest sports orgy, I keep reminding myself that top-level performance in many of those sports can leave athletes with permanent injuries.
