Continued living

Air temperature 35 F, light north wind, overcast. Rain showers in the area, may get freezing rain and snow later. We seem to have all lived through another year -- waited an extra day to be sure.

People keep finding humor in a simple cat who wants nothing more from life than a quiet nap in the sun and a full food dish.

More damp and dreary

Did get out for a walk in the new neighborhood, defying the drizzle. Again, not a cat-friendly environment. Ended up walking in the street much of the way, because people don't clear their sections of sidewalk. Plus ça change . . .

Snowplows rumbling. Should be mostly spreading salt and sand, since we've only gotten an inch or less of snow.
