Thursday migratory report
Sep. 16th, 2021 12:54 pmGoose flock at the golf course up to 40 individuals, approx. I have no way of knowing if I was seeing all of them, a hundred yards away while I biked past. Also, getting thrush-type birds passing through, veery and wood thrush seen for sure. We've seen a few monarch butterflies heading out on their epic trek.
Roadkill limited to a red squirrel, a couple of gray squirrels, and some bloody patches of asphalt.
More leaves turning, still red maples and ash trees, and the poison ivy does a beautiful scarlet.
Rode upriver and across and through the bog, cool but not really windy. Did not die.
