Sunday migratory report

Flock of 30 or so geese at the country club as I rode past, probable different flock of 15 in the cemetery pond when I got back into town. Discussing travel plans?

Roadkill limited to stains on the asphalt and a couple of squashed squirrels.

Asters, tansy, goldenrod, goats-beard, and a few laggard patches of purple loosestrife blooming. Maples out in the bog dropping leaves already. Water level in the bog up to the road edge on the uphill side with the recent rains.

Got out on the bike, winds gusting over 20 mph, glad I decided to wimp out on my usual longer Sunday route. Did not die.
