Air temperature 60 F, wind northwest about 5 mph, raining. Heavy rain overnight leading to possible flooding in low-lying areas. Where we are not. Meanwhile, "Larry" is headed for Newfoundland as a hurricane and on to Greenland as a tropical storm.

Showy purple asters are taking over the world, with drifts of white asters providing a backdrop. Loosestrife mostly has set seed. Clover chugging along.

Roadkill limited to gray squirrels.

C-130 and a couple of KC-135s over at the airport, plus a few civilian jets coming and going.

Estimated arrival of rain, headed out on the bike across town and back. Did not die. Did not even get wet. Rain started about 15 minutes after I got home.
