Air temperature 56 F, wind west about 5 mph, light rain. Shower supposed to pass through. Possible bike ride later, if things dry off.

Friday foliage report

Earliest trees starting to turn, red maples out in the bog and a few stressed specimens in the uplands. Asters starting to hit their stride. Japanese knotweed blooming, another damned invasive alien.

No roadkill except for the tattered shreds of that mink I reported several rides ago.

Winds gusting up to 20 mph, annoying, got out on the bike anyway. Did not die.
