Air temperature 58 F, wind south about 3 mph, sunny. Will probably try for a bike ride this morning.

Tuesday roadkill/floral report

Porcupine dead by the side of the road at about 4 miles into my ride, slightly deflated by age and summer sun but not yet reduced to a mat of quills and bones. Didn't see it last time through there, last week.

Definite asters, mid-sized pale purple sort. Also, maybe smaller white sort, but those are hard to tell from other white things at bicycle botany speed and distance. Oaks starting to drop acorns as a hazard to passing humans.

Got out on the bike, weekday upriver loop. Did not die.
