Futile exercise

Air temperature 58 F, wind south at 7 mph, overcast with scattered showers. Morning chores include looking at a house that's a probable "no" due to location.

Thursday floral report

Blue flag irises blooming out in the bog, good display. Some viburnum, maybe hobblebush. I may have missed my chance at the white moccasin-flowers -- blooms could be there, but the bracken is filling in. No wild roses yet.

Roadkill limited to one flat chipmunk. Not-roadkill, five geese by the cemetery pond on my way out, gone when I came back.

Windy, gusting to 30 mph, but got out on the bike. Did not die.
