Wednesday spring report

Skunk cabbage leaves up in the bog, pussy-willows golden with pollen, first bracken ferns unfolding, tinge of green on the tamaracks. Two geese at the cemetery pond, and two ducks smaller than mallards -- maybe hooded mergansers, but this is bicycle ornithology. Got out on the bike, full loop. 15 miles, did not die.
