Business still pending

Air temperature 35 F, east wind about 10 mph, overcast. Storm warnings hoisted along the coast, wind gusting over 50 mph in rain and mixed precip, up to a foot of snow in the mountains. Fun supposed to really get going around noon, here.

Highly visible

South Neighbor just headed out on her morning run, trying to beat the storm. Wearing a day-glo green top, hat, and gloves. No way a driver could claim they didn't see her . . .

Camp Ugly Yucky

Admiring our slushfall out the wet-streaked window, air temperature 35 F, and realized that those blobs on the thistle feeder were goldfinches. Glad to provide an emergency snack.

Still yucky weather

Raining, air temperature 40 F. Shouldn't ice up under those conditions, although the back storm door latch may be iffy when we head back below freezing.
