Air temperature 54 F, light south wind, clear sky. Sun barely up in the waning of the year. May get bike ride.

Even if you believe the squid-ink explanation that he didn't know who the PBs are, can the nation survive being ruled by such ignorance?

No trees or power lines down across any of the roads on my route, but piles of branches marked yesterday's damage. Some trees bare of leaves, particularly ash trees which were already dropping leaves before the wind.
Roadside flowers pretty much limited to asters now, with even the goldenrod giving up.
Roadkill toll one shredded skunk out near the end of the runway, oddly no smell, one gray squirrel at about mile 10 on the ride. Not-roadkill, a flock of 15-20 wild turkeys crossing in front of me on a downhill headed back into town. This is far from the first time I've had to dodge my way through a turkey flock. If they keep that up, somebody is going to end up as a hood ornament.
Wind within reason, temperature up to 60 F, got out on the bike. Number of rides remaining, unknown. Did not die.

The BBC World News America just had a segment of assigning a kindergarten teacher to moderate the next debate . . .
And my afternoon walk featured two crows chasing a turkey vulture that was zeroing in on a dead squirrel in the middle of the road. Competition not welcome.
