Sunday roadkill/floral/foliage report
Sep. 27th, 2020 11:15 amThree dead porcupines in a stretch of about a quarter mile out in the bog. Also, what looked like a raccoon on the other side of the road, tan belly fur, and one garter snake, one gray squirrel, and one probable catbird. Not-roadkill, a flock of 20-30 Canada geese out by the cemetery pond, grazing or sleeping or swimming.
Flowers were goldenrod and asters, asters and goldenrod. Some maples completely red, ash trees yellow or still green as the personal whim takes them, sumac red. Acorns all over the road.
Still damp, air temperature 68 F and south wind about 15 mph, so I stuck to a local ride. Did not die.
