Air temperature 47 F, wind south about 5 mph, patchy fog again. Should warm up into the mid 60s F later. May have to choose a shorter bike route than original plan . . .

Sunday roadkill report

Bad night for the porcupines -- three dead, two adults and one youngster or partial. Also, red fox and probable marten. The latter was on the other side of the road, weasel-shaped body, but thicker and longer, tan fur.

Floral report pretty much normal -- lot of asters and goldenrod, purple loosestrife, goats-beard, a few defiant buttercups still blooming. Not many leaves turned on this route.

Headed out, got annoyed by the wind, didn't take a longer route. Ride still takes me over 1000 miles for the year. Did not die.
