Air temperature 64 F, fog, wind near calm. Roads may dry off enough for a bike ride.

Thursday roadkill report

Long-tailed weasel by the roadside through the bog, pretty much intact. This meant I could ID it by the yellowish belly fur instead of the white of a short-tailed weasel/ermine.

More leaves turning on the maples in the bog, bracken going yellow or even shriveled brown, milkweed pods starting to split but not fluffing out yet. Autumn sneaks in.

Roads dried off, got out on the bike, still humid out there so I came back damp. Did not die.
