Tuesday floral report

Large brilliant asters starting to bloom, lustrous purple. Butter-and-eggs continues, a few different maples going red, ash trees starting to shed leaves. More cattails fluffing out.

Roadkill limited to a couple of gray squirrels and the random patches of stained asphalt.

Got out on the bike, across town and past the airport/base. AWACS and C-17 in the visitors, parking lot. Thence back over hills and home, had to adjust my route to avoid power line work. Did not die.
