Sunday floral report
Sep. 6th, 2020 02:33 pmFirst purple asters confirmed, butter-and-eggs, and yet more varieties of goldenrod. More red maples starting to turn, ditto sumacs.
No roadkill, in spite of blotches on the asphalt. Cleanup crew is too efficient.
Got out on the bike, upriver to my overlook water break, no eagles. Down the other side, heard geese on the river but no sightings. Some of them stay here. Thence back and inland a bit for some largish hills and checking for osprey nests on the power lines. Did not die.
