Damp sunrise proceeds

 

Air temperature 65 F, near calm, mostly cloudy. Dew point 64 F, so wet roads will be a while drying. Still hope for bike ride.

Thursday roadkill report

Two defunct porcupines about a hundred yards apart, both on the other side of the road near the bog. Also, probable chipmunk a bit beyond the first Interstate crossing.

Nothing particular new in the floral department -- more cattail heads starting to fluff, roses in the bog still blooming, white asters only, so far. Milkweed pods have not started to split.

Roads started to dry off, wind still light, biked up to the new overpass which I declare to be fully operational. Did not die.
