Hurricane Isaias shows a projected track to straight up the Gulf of Maine and the Bay of Fundy next week as a tropical storm. This may affect bicycle mileage.

May have seen the first asters, small and white and mixed in with a lot of other stuff. Cornflower and tansy and goldenrod and vetch. And more of the be-damned purple loosestrife.

No identifiable roadkill beyond a house mouse, but there was a blotch on the pavement where I have seen evidence of a raccoon crossing before. Or raccoons that failed to cross . . .

Light wind, still damp, got out on the bike. Got passed by a muscular guy with a lot of tattoos and a lot fewer decades. Did not die.

Item on the evening news, a couple of business owners had to take the flag of Norway off their business because a few people thought it was a Confederate flag.
