Jul. 31st, 2020 10:52 amMay have seen the first asters, small and white and mixed in with a lot of other stuff. Cornflower and tansy and goldenrod and vetch. And more of the be-damned purple loosestrife.
No identifiable roadkill beyond a house mouse, but there was a blotch on the pavement where I have seen evidence of a raccoon crossing before. Or raccoons that failed to cross . . .
Light wind, still damp, got out on the bike. Got passed by a muscular guy with a lot of tattoos and a lot fewer decades. Did not die.
