Sunday floral report

Cattail flower spikes up, water parsnip blooming, first flower buds showing on the milkweed. Peonies and rhododendrons pretty much done in town.

Roadkill, a couple of gray squirrels and a couple of porcupines, the latter a week or so old and only identifiable by the quills. Not-roadkill, a chipmunk that darted out almost under my front wheel and then thought better of it.

Got out on the bike, upriver to my eagle-watch spot at the dam, no eagles, then across and down the other side. Did not die.
