Muddling along

Air temperature 56 F, wind near calm, overcast. Rain not expected, so foraging and bike ride still remain on the schedule. People still think they own other people.

Well, Maine has reached the 100-death mark for the coronavirus. This is well below a lot of other states, of course, reflecting low and rural population.

Tuesday floral report

Blue flag irises blooming, black locusts, and a patch of a dozen or so white moccasin-flower orchids. Rhodora nearly done out in the bog even though the rhododendrons are short of their peak in town. Tamaracks turning actual green rather than just a haze.

Roadkill limited to one varying hare near the junkyard and a couple of gray squirrels.

Warmed up, sunny, more wind than I'd like. Got my miles in, anyway.
