Air temperature 32 F, wind NW at 13 mph, "light" snow falling. Quotation marks because what we have is anything but light. About a foot, plus/minus, and a good-sized limb down out of the maple tree and across the driveway. Whee.
Driveway and car and steps cleared, branch reduced to movable pieces. We have access to the world again. City plow stopped half-way down our side and backed up -- I suspect a branch or wires down. Life in the Great North Woods.
Unlike several hundred thousand of our fellow Maine populace, we still have power. Must have gone out for a few seconds overnight, because I had to reset the microwave clock. Nothing else, though.
