Light-headed (female) robin sighted. First of the year. The dark-head males come back earlier.

Two steps forward bit

I think I am going to declare our yard ice-free.  There's a little patch under South Neighbor's rhododendron that may still be clear ice, but I'm not going out in the rain to check.

Snowstorm forecast for late next week . . .

And this ignores the snow and ice on the north side of our house, which is North Neighbor's problem.
