Had a duck fly low over my predawn newspaper walk, quacking all the way. Wife suggests he missed the wake-up and was trying to find his flock.

Headed over to the pharmacy for refills on our prescriptions. Ready, for some reason, a mere couple of hours after we phoned in. I will wash well when I get back -- a wretched hive of scum and villainy at the best of times.
