Backhoe chewing away at that 1870s house on my walk route. Figured out why they are working from the back -- house is right up to the sidewalk and street like ours, and they want to be able to pull the front back into the wreck.

Feline amusement -- one of my new friends was sporting a collar and tag today, "Spike Lee!" with the exclamation mark. Wife suggests that he wasn't good about claw control as a kitten.
