He's worse than the Orange-Haired Occupant. I really don't think the latter has the mental capacity to understand anything beyond the end of his own nose, if that, but Mitch has the ability to know better and chooses to follow his own self-interest anyway. They're both evil, but Mitch's is evil of a deeper dye.

I don't think McConnell has any principles or philosophy at all, what he wants to accomplish, who is supposed to be benefiting from his actions. Maybe he did once, it's been subsumed by Team Mentality: my team wins, period, and by any and all means.

No, he never did. I've had the chance to observe him since he was Judge-executive of Jefferson County (Louisville's county) when he first dipped his toe in politics.
(I also knew one of his professors who said "He was an asshole then, he's an asshole now.")
