Sunday pine report
Sep. 29th, 2019 02:46 pmWhite pines are shedding needles and creating yellow-brown carpets. As Aldo Leopold put it, they maintain their "evergreen" status by overlapping terms in office.
Asters still going strong, a few more maples and ash trees turning, but fall "color" has a ways to go.
No fresh roadkill.
Windy, chilly enough for me to add my ski top to the bicycle gear, but got out for a local ride. Did not die, in spite of the efforts of a trio of neighborhood kids who jumped the curb on their bikes right in front of me . . .
