Air temperature 52 F, wind west about 5 mph, sunrise in high thin clouds. Still have some showers scattered around the state, none close to us. Got a couple of twigs down from yesterday, don't expect any problems with getting out on the bike.

Some of the large fancy purple asters are showing up, plus lots of the pale purple and white version. Still much goldenrod, jewel-weed, and wild roses.

One well-aged porcupine out near the Bomarc site, a week or more dead but I haven't been on that road lately.

Got out on the bike after allowing the world to warm a bit. Wind gusty 10 mph plus, air temperature upper 50s F. Did not die.
