Air temperature 55 F, light wind NNE, scattered clouds. Heavy dew overnight, but grass should dry off enough for mowing by this afternoon. Bike ride first.

Friday foliage report

Some trees turning red out in the bog, not just individual leaves or branches. Bracken and sensitive fern starting to brown out. Tansy going to seed, more fluff on cattails but milkweed pods not yet exploding.

No fresh roadkill. Got a better look at that grouse/hawk sighting from Tuesday, and it looks more like a hawk. If it is still there the next time I ride that route, I may stop for a serious check.

Sunny and the air warmed up a bit, got out on the bike, did not die.

Overcast now, the offspring of Dorian. We're supposed to get some rain and moderate wind, with most of the storm passing south and east of us.
