I know it is just wishful thinking, but dumping a hurricane on the Dumpster's Florida resort involves a hell of a lot of collateral damage . . .
First cattail heads popping fluff, more asters, a few more maple leaves turning. Autumn approaches, under damp skies.
Avian roadkill this time, one crow and one probable ruffed grouse. We *hope* it was a grouse -- only other choice in that size and color would be a hawk. Couldn't see the head to be sure.
Still overcast with untrustworthy clouds, but I got out on the bike and didn't get rained on. Did not die.
