No fresh roadkill, although I passed fragments of skunk on a section of road I haven't been over for a couple of weeks. Add that to the tally.
More asters blooming, goldenrod humming with bees, cornflower still adding pale blue to the roadsides. Some giant puffball mushrooms have sprung up in lawns.
No eagles at my upriver stop by the dam, but six or eight cormorants were hanging out on the rocks in the far channel.
