Sunday roadkill report (Minorly gruesome)
Aug. 4th, 2019 01:59 pmTwo porcupines on the asphalt, shreds of a skunk, what looked like a swallow. The second porky may not have been dead yet -- quills were still up. Watch where you are driving, dammit.
First asters blooming, small pale purple. New species of goldenrod, can't tell you what from the limitations of bicycle botany. Some of the thistles going to fluff.
Got out on the bike, upriver to my break spot by the dam, then across and down and turning off to add some strenuous hills. No eagles. More wind than I'd like. Did not die.
