Continued hot times

Air temperature 76 F, wind south about 5 mph, partly cloudy. In theory, we will get thunderstorms through later this morning and afternoon, followed by cooler weather. Meanwhile, no bike ride this morning. Walk, instead.

Sounds of high summer

Lime trees humming when I was out for my walk -- bees and other pollinators. Cardinals and song sparrows and mourning doves yammering. Quiet nest calls from the merlin nest, and an adult in a nearby tree. Almost time for the youngsters to fly . . .
