Sunday steamy report

Goldenrod starting to bloom, purple bellflowers, maybe St. John's wort. Whole field of orange day lilies, and a few defiant lupines still blooming. Hay cut in a couple of fields, awfully late if that's the first mowing.

Roadkill limited to one chipmunk or red squirrel and a patch of skunk smell with no visible corpse.

Warm and sticky, with a gusty variable wind, but I pedaled upriver, inland a bit, across the bridge, and down the other side. Did not die.
