Air temperature 70 F, light NW wind, clear sky after morning fog. We have entered the land where I want my bike ride earlier rather than later.

Wednesday roadkill report

Two flattened turtles, probably painted, and one possibly-muskrat, possibly mink or juvenile woodchuck. Also, one not-roadkill snapping turtle, maybe 12" shell, crossing the road out in the bog. I did not stop to help it.

Blue cornflowers starting to bloom, tall white sweet clover, and some day lilies.

Warm morning, little wind, got out on the bike. Did not die.
