Quiet gray again

Air temperature 49 F, wind SW about 3 mph, overcast. May be able to clear the dust of the ages off my bike and ride.

Full page ad in today's paper for a "wings" event, showing date and time and the vendors and the sponsors. No mention of the location. If I actually wanted to go, I could check their website, but . . .

Thursday roadkill report

One dead raccoon just beyond the horse gear shop, one woodchuck at the side driveway to our auto dealership. The raccoon looked like it had been there a couple of days, while I don't think the woodchuck was there when I rode by on the way out.

Bluets blooming, shadbush flowers outside of town, no rhodora yet. Tamaracks turning green instead of just a haze, most trees filling in. Oaks, as usual, are skeptical.

Temperature got up into the upper 50s, light wind, some sun. Got out on the bike for my first ride in a week. Did not die.
