One probable gray-phase woodchuck dead over by the Town Farm, because the lump looked too big for a squirrel. More asters blooming, less purple loosestrife, long-furred dark gray cat running across the road in front of me on a long uphill.

Rode across town and by the airport/base, only metal bird a white 727 or 737 with no logo or ID except for the registration number. Don't ask, don't tell. Anyway, mileage added, did not die. Any one of these rides could be the last for the year.
