Air temperature 28 F, wind calm, mostly cloudy. Hazy half moon cruising across the sky while I got breakfast. Bare ground showing through the snow where sun can reach.
Found a pair of pigeon wings connected by a breastbone on my neighborhood walk. This is a distinctive feeding pattern of a fair-sized hawk, peregrine or Cooper's. Whichever, it is welcome to all the pigeons it can eat. And then some.
