Three musketeers gone?

We had been seeing a group of one junco, one song sparrow, and one whitethroat under the feeders on a regular basis. No sightings for the last few days. Since at least two of the three should be migrating, this is not alarming.

Pratchett boots return

Just oiled up my winter boots for the umpteenth time. They cost a lot, long enough ago that they have more time in grade than at least one of our adult sons, but they have outlasted many lesser pairs.
