Air temperature 13 F, dew point 4, wind west about 5 mph, scattered clouds. Winter storm forecast, tonight into tomorrow, maybe 6" of snow. We have a number of "pending business" things that should have preceded winter weather . . .

Cleared the layer of frozen leaves off the storm-drain grate in front of our house, since the city hasn't gotten around to leaf removal yet. Virtue did not extend to the grate across the street, equally clogged . . .
