Thursday color report

Maybe 25 % of the trees have turned, a spotty landscape that shows well against the green background. If you are planning a pilgrimage, the next couple of weeks should be best.

Flowers mostly asters, but goldenrod has made a resurgence and some cornflower still blooming. Some of the cattails are going to fluff.

No roadkill beyond a couple of obligatory grey squirrels.

Got out on the bike, temperature mid-50s and patches of light mist falling. Windier than I would prefer. Did not die.

Ride takes me over 1100 miles for the year.

One bit of good news from the bike ride -- we've had a number of "lost cat" signs tacked to utility poles around the neighborhood. This morning, they had "FOUND!" taped over them.
