Thursday logging report
Aug. 16th, 2018 11:12 amProfessional crew felling some largish white pines at about mile 6 on my route, 24"+ diameter. Not an easy job, since they stood around a house. Looks like they are taking the trunks in saw-log lengths, so the wood won't go to waste.
Couple of fresh-killed red squirrels for the roadkill tally. Don't know what transgressions against Squirrel Honor required them to commit suicide.
Still warm and sticky but the roads dried off and I got my ride in. Did not die.
