Was walking yesterday afternoon, looking around for one of our cat friends in the next block. Then heard a meow by my left ankle . . .

Air temperature 44 F and calm for the newspaper walk, scattered clouds and patches of fog, no cats.

Ornamental cherry and crab-apple trees starting to bloom in town, poplars dropping their catkins, horsetail sprouting. Cuckoo flowers blooming, and I think I saw a pink moccasin-flower out near the bog.

Also pretty sure I saw a female red-wing blackbird in one of the small marshes, so all that noise has not been in vain.

Temperature got up to 60 F, got out on the bike, did not die.

More people being horrible in ways I can do nothing about.
