Air temperature 64 F, dew point 52, wind NW about 10 mph, scattered clouds. Don't know if this is Ethnic Summer or not -- we've had light frost but not a hard freeze.

Thursday foliage report

Upland red maples going more rust than red with the dry conditions. Some birches starting to turn. A few ash trees bare already, as are some black cherries. Milkweed pods exploding in fluff.

Roadkill limited to gray squirrels, of which we have a surplus.

Windy but got out on the bike anyway. This time of year, any ride might be the last of the season. Did not die.
